The story behind the IoE.
After completing my doctorate, holding several leadership positions, and spending 30 years in employment, there came a point where I found myself asking just one question: What is all of this actually giving me?
The salary was right. So were the titles. But the fulfilment wasn't there.
So I handed in my resignation and started my own company. Since then, I've known: self-employment is not an easy path. But for the right people, it's the only one that makes sense.
With the IoE, I help others make this decision as well-informed and confidently as possible. Not because I want to give advice. But because I know the terrain.
